What is the currency, and can I use a credit card?

The currency in the British Virgin Islands is the US dollar. ATMs are common in the more populated areas and scarce in out-of-the-way places, so plan accordingly. Credit cards are widely accepted, though you will find a few merchants that take cash only.

Can I play my own music aboard?

Yes — connect by Bluetooth. Store the music on the device you are connecting with rather than streaming it, since the connection can be patchy in some anchorages.

Is there a washing machine aboard?

No. Pack for a week in the sun. If you want something washed, tell us and we will plan it with the crew. Many guests simply rinse things and hang them on the lines, and there are marinas where laundry can be done.

Is there anywhere to rinse off after swimming?

Yes. There is an outdoor shower on the stern, alongside the private ensuite shower in each cabin.

Where does Aquanimity sail, and when?

We are in the British Virgin Islands from November 1 through August 10. From mid-August through October the boat is south, out of the hurricane belt.
