The captain

Your captain holds a professional maritime license and has extensive experience in BVI waters. Every day begins with a weather check and a plan that keeps your group comfortable and safe throughout any passage.

The boat

Aquanimity is a 2021 Dufour 48 catamaran maintained to charter industry standards. Catamarans are inherently more stable than monohull sailboats. The wide stance between the two hulls makes them difficult to capsize and dramatically more comfortable in any sea state.

The waters

The British Virgin Islands are protected, enclosed sailing grounds. Land is almost always visible. Passages between islands are short. There are no offshore crossings and the anchorages are well-sheltered. This is where sailors around the world learn to sail precisely because it is so forgiving and safe.

Safety equipment

The yacht carries all required safety equipment: life jackets for every guest, life raft, flares, fire extinguishers, first aid kit, VHF radio, and an EPIRB emergency beacon. Safety briefings are conducted at the start of every charter so every guest knows where everything is.

Weather

If conditions are not ideal for a planned passage, the captain will adjust the itinerary. Comfort and safety always come before the schedule.
