Can I bring a pet on a BVI charter?
We love animals, but pets are not permitted aboard Aquanimity. This is a firm policy and not something we are able to make exceptions for.
Why pets are not permitted
There are several practical reasons. BVI customs and agriculture regulations require specific documentation, health certificates, and in some cases quarantine periods for animals entering the territory. Managing this across multiple island stops and clearance procedures is genuinely complicated and creates real logistical risk for your itinerary.
Beyond the regulatory dimension, a working yacht with six guests, a captain, and a chef is a busy, active environment. Pets on a boat require constant supervision near open water, on moving vessels, and in high-traffic deck areas. Ensuring a pet is comfortable, safe, and not a stressor for other guests or the crew throughout a week-long charter is not something we can commit to doing well.
What to do if you cannot leave your pet behind
There are excellent professional pet boarding services in the BVI and in most departure cities. If your pet is a service animal with specific travel needs, please contact us directly before booking to discuss your situation. Service animals are a different category and we are happy to have that conversation.
Everything else is welcome
Outside of pets, we have very few restrictions aboard Aquanimity. Reach out with any other questions before you book.
