The honest reality

The signal is strong throughout the BVI. The limit is not speed, it is data volume — satellite service at sea is regulated by how much you use, not how fast it runs. So the things we ask you to skip are the heavy ones: downloading films, and leaving video running for hours at a time. Those consume an enormous amount of the boat’s allowance and slow everyone else down. Not long ago a charter out here meant no internet at all.

A useful mindset

Most guests find that once they are on the water, staying connected becomes noticeably less important than they expected. The BVI has a way of making you forget about whatever felt urgent before you left. The connectivity is there when you need it — and you will need it less than you think.

What You Can Do with Starlink

Check email, join a video call, post photos, stream music, and browse the web — all from the middle of the Caribbean. Starlink satellite internet works regardless of how far you are from shore. It is not the same as your home fiber connection, but it is reliable enough for most daily needs.

That said, most guests find they use it less than they expected. After a day or two on the water, the pull of the phone fades. The sunset is better than the feed.

Charging and Power

Every cabin has USB and standard power outlets. The generator and solar panels keep the boat's systems running throughout the day and night. CPAP machines, camera batteries, laptops, and phones can all charge simultaneously without issue.
