The dress code is essentially: wear what you want

A private catamaran charter is not a cruise ship. There is no captain’s table, no black-tie evening, no announcement that tonight is formal night. The entire aesthetic of the BVI is relaxed, warm, and casual. Your chef will prepare a dinner that would be at home in a fine restaurant — and you can eat it in a swimsuit and a cover-up if that is what you are comfortable in.

What guests actually wear

Most guests wear swimsuits or board shorts during the day and change into something slightly nicer for dinner — not because they have to, but because dinner feels special and they want to mark it. A sundress or a linen shirt. Something comfortable that feels slightly elevated. That is as formal as it gets, and only if you want it to.

Going ashore for dinner

If you go ashore to a restaurant — Foxy’s, the Anegada Reef Hotel, Cooper Island Beach Club — the dress code at those establishments is equally casual. The BVI is shorts and sandals culture. Nobody overdresses and nobody expects you to.

The one exception

If your group wants to designate a special evening — a birthday, an anniversary, a last night celebration — your chef will rise to the occasion with a meal and a presentation that matches the moment. The occasion creates the formality, not a dress code.
