Your Own Crewed Catamaran in the British Virgin Islands

No strangers. No schedules you didn't set. Just your group, Captain Gino, Chef Nikita, and the most spectacular sailing waters in the Caribbean.

A crewed BVI charter isn't a cruise ship. It's not a flotilla. It's your private boat, your private crew, and your private slice of the British Virgin Islands — with a professional captain who knows every anchorage and a chef who turns fresh market ingredients into something unforgettable.

Meet Your Crew

Two People Who Make It All Work

You bring the group. Captain Gino and Chef Nikita handle everything else.

Captain Gino

He knows the BVI the way locals know their own backyard — which mooring balls are protected in a northerly swell, which reef has the best visibility in the morning light, which bar the cruisers actually go to. His captain skills have been compared to "someone three times his age."

Chef Nikita

Consistently rated the highlight of the charter. Guests say they didn't want to eat ashore because Nikita's cooking was that good. She cooks to your dietary preferences, sources ingredients locally, and has been known to make fresh sashimi when we land a tuna on passage.

Why the BVI

The World's Best Crewed Charter Waters

The British Virgin Islands earned the title "Sailing Capital of the World" for a reason. Over 60 islands spread across protected waters — you can almost always see your next destination from where you are. No open ocean crossings. No rough passages. Just island to island, bay to bay.

Every anchorage is different. Norman Island for snorkeling sea caves. Anegada for lobster on the beach. Jost Van Dyke for the Soggy Dollar Bar. The Baths at Virgin Gorda for geology unlike anything else on earth. Captain Gino has sailed all of them hundreds of times and still finds new spots.

November through July is charter season. December through April brings the most reliable trade winds — 15 to 20 knots from the east, flat seas in the protected channels, blue skies most days.

Crewed Charter Questions

A crewed BVI charter means a professionally captained and crewed yacht is privately hired for your group. On Aquanimity, Captain Gino handles all navigation and sailing while Chef Nikita prepares all meals. You explore the BVI without doing any of the work.
None whatsoever. Captain Gino handles everything on the water. Guests are welcome to help sail if they want to — many love it — but there's absolutely no requirement. You can spend the entire week in the cockpit with a drink and never touch a line.
Up to 6 guests in 3 private ensuite cabins. The charter is fully private — no strangers sharing your boat.
Aquanimity charters run Saturday to Saturday, departing and returning to Trellis Bay on Beef Island, Tortola. Trellis Bay is a 5-minute walk from Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport, making arrival day seamless.
Aquanimity sails November through July. August through October is hurricane season and we don't charter during those months. Peak season is December through April — most reliable trade winds, lowest humidity, and the best sailing conditions of the year.
